NRI Quota Admission Procedure

Eligibility

  • NRI (Non-Resident Indian), PIO (Person of Indian Origin), and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) students are eligible for admission to SMCW under the NRI quota.
  • They must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • They must have a valid passport and visa.
  • They must meet NEET-UG eligibility criteria as per MCI/DGHS/MCC guidelines.

Application Process

  • NRI, PIO, and OCI students can apply for admission to SMCW through the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Undergraduate Admissions Portal (SIU UGP Portal).
  • The application form is available online from the month of January.
  • The completed application form, along with the required documents, must be submitted online by the specified deadline.

Required Documents

  • Photocopy of NEET-UG admit card and score card
  • Photocopy of 10+2 or equivalent examination mark sheet
  • Photocopy of passport and visa
  • Photocopies of NRI, PIO, or OCI card
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • Demand draft in favor of “Symbiosis Medical College for Women” for the application fee

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview (PI). The PI will assess the candidate’s communication skills, medical aptitude, and overall suitability for the programme.
